I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland College Park, just outside Washington DC. As a member of the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences, I am currently studying how animals regulate copper metabolism in the lab of my mentor, Dr. Byung-Eun Kim. I am passionate about scientific communication and my favourite field of science is membrane trafficking. In my spare time, I love gardening, kayaking, tennis, and ice skating, and I am also involved as a board member of my synagogue, Har Tzeon Agudath Achim.
That’s me below (on the left), graduating with my PhD in December 2014.
